I am so excited to bring you the inaugural edition of “Who are the people in your Patreon?” This month’s featured human is a dear friend and supporter of mine, let’s welcome, Kelly also known as Rhathymia Art!

Kelly creates art and jewelry with natural elements such as flowers, mushrooms, insects, and bones.
Rhathymia Art was established in 2020 as a creative outlet during the pandemic. I have always been drawn to the “darker” side of life and all things creepy, so the art is meant to showcase that there is beauty to be found in the peculiar. Pieces are one of a kind and often include up-cycled or vintage items. Fun fact: a lot of her supplies are sourced locally by her dad!
Kelly was born and raised in St. Louis. She loves animals and has cats, dogs, fish, a mouse, and a crested gecko! Kelly loves going to metal shows with friends ‘ it’s one of her favorite things. Kelly also enjoys exploring different types of art and letting her creativity flow.
My hot take: As you can see from the photos above, Kelly is a versatile, inventive, and resourceful artist and her work carries a spirit of reduce/reuse/recycle while these elements are not only environmentally friendly, they also have an elegance and balance to them that is simply awe inspiring. You can check out Kelly vending around town at various things like the Green Tree Festival in Kirkwood, Oddities and Curiosities Expos, and more!
Fun fact: I originally met Kelly because I danced at her baby shower over a decade ago!
